Echoes of Becoming

Immersive 360° audiovisual projection, 2025

Echoes of Becoming is an immersive audiovisual work exploring the iterative negotiation between human and artificial intelligence in co-creation. Originally conceived for the 22-meter LED dome of the Prague Planetarium, the piece unfolds as a spiralling meditation on transformation and mutual becoming.

Visually, the work draws inspiration from the Solomonic (Baroque) column - a twisting structure that becomes a metaphor for dialogue between human intention and algorithmic response. Kaleidoscopic compositions evolve through cycles of generation, feedback, and reinterpretation, forming a living ornament shaped by continuous exchange.

The sound originates from recordings of the artist’s own humming voice - an intimate, bodily resonance produced through breath and vibration. This embodied input is transformed through AI-based synthesis into low-frequency drones, merging interior human presence with synthetic texture. The body thus becomes both source and subject of algorithmic transformation.
Echoes of Becoming frames human–AI collaboration not as opposition but as a sensitive threshold where perception, authorship, and identity are continuously renegotiated. The work does not offer resolution; it stages a process. Viewers are invited to inhabit a space where human and synthetic agency intertwine, where meaning emerges through iteration rather than control.
