For the third consecutive year, I was invited to design the official trophy for the AI Awards. What began in previous editions as a graphic layer evolved this year into a fully conceptual object — a physical reflection on the state of AI in 2025.
The result is a custom-built infinity mirror trophy combining semi-transparent mirror, UV-printed typography, embedded LED lighting, and a 3D-printed structural frame.
CONCEPT
The object carries two conceptual layers.
1. The Reflective Layer
The front surface functions as a mirror. When holding the award, the recipient sees their own reflection — a deliberate commentary on contemporary AI practice. Working with AI systems inevitably mirrors back our intentions, biases, patterns and beliefs. This reflection can amplify blind spots or, when approached consciously, become a powerful tool for awareness and growth. The mirror transforms the award into a moment of self-recognition.
2. The Hidden Agentic Prompt
Inside the infinity mirror, visible only when the internal LED light is activated, lies a speculative “agentic prompt.” Each award contains a custom-written prompt inspired by the specific achievement of its recipient — phrased as instructions for an imagined AI agent tasked with achieving the same societal contribution.This inner layer creates a poetic dialogue between human agency and machine agency:
What does it mean for an AI system to attempt what a human has achieved?
What remains uniquely human?
What is transferable — and what is not?
DESIGN & PRODUCTION
The trophy is constructed from:

Hand assembly in a limited series
The 3D-printed frame was developed in collaboration with industrial designer Vít Fendrich, whose technical expertise and prototyping process enabled the realization of increasingly bold structural ideas. The project required multiple iterations to balance light diffusion, mirror transparency, structural stability, and material aesthetics. Each piece is hand-assembled, resulting in subtle variations that emphasize its crafted nature.
REFLECTION AS FORM
The AI Awards 2025 trophy is not merely a polished ceremonial object — although it is unapologetically shiny (and therefore hard to photograph ;) ).
It is a layered commentary on:

It functions simultaneously as a celebratory artifact and a conceptual object.
